The Legacy of Linkin Park's "Meteora" Two Decades Later

Linkin Park released their second studio album, “Meteora,” on March 25, 2003, which means that the album just turned 20 years old. The album was a follow-up to their hugely successful debut, “Hybrid Theory,” and it solidified their place in the nu-metal and alternative rock scenes. “Meteora” was well-received by fans and critics alike, and it spawned several hit singles, including “Somewhere I Belong,” “Numb,” and “Breaking the Habit.” The album’s unique sound, blending heavy guitar riffs and rap vocals, was a defining characteristic of Linkin Park’s music.

The band members themselves have reflected on the album’s impact and legacy, particularly in light of the tragic death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017. Despite the passage of time, “Meteora” remains a beloved album for many Linkin Park fans, and it continues to be a significant part of the band’s legacy.
